Needle Punched Carpets

Needle punched carpets are produced in both flat and pile form by needling fibrous webs. The flat carpets are manufactured in a needle punching manner for producing non woven fabrics. These carpets are generally made of thermoplastic polymer like, Polypropylene. The carpets, so manufactured are harsh and stiff.

The technique allows easy printing, embossing and flocking of carpets. A coating of weather-resistant latex or similar material is often applied to the backing materials for increasing the durability and dimensional stability. The carpets are extensively used in hotels, hospitals, schools, other industries and building.
