Woven Carpets-Rugs
Woven rugs and carpets most commonly constructed before the advent of tufted carets. Woven rugs represent a small segment of the market because the production process is slower and more costly.Manufacturing Process
The carpets are constructed by weaving a pile yarn perpendicular to the warp and backing yarn in a manner that produces an integral unit. The pile is visible on the back whenever it is woven through. Density of construction determines the durability of the carpets.
Advantages
Woven carpets and rugs have:
- More durability
- High resistance
- High dimensional stability
