Wilton is the most expensive weave used for carpet manufacturing. It the manufacture cost is next to Chenille. It is woven on a jacquard loom and is considered the best of all the machine made rugs and carpets.

Manufacturing Process
The surface yarn is held in trays, known as frames. Each frame holds spools wound with a yarn of a particular color. So, if there are six colors in the patterns of a wilton, six separate frames should be used. It is made with soft or hard twisted yarns. The wilton can give higher durability when woven closely. Delicate designs can be woven with a luxurious feel. Soft twist wilton are more soft and fine than the hard twist wiltons, This is because of the depth of pile.
